Born on 4th May 1983in Pallakad, Kerala to father Krishnan and mother Uma.  She is an only child and lives with her parents, grandmother and dog Minx. She is fluent in four languages - hindi, tamil, english and french. 

Trisha is of a Malayalee/Tamil Brahmin origin.

Trisha started her career as a model, and was the model of choice for many famous brands such as Fair & Lovely, Pepsi and many Jewelers. Later she made her debut into the film industry with Suhasini, and has gone on to appear - most notoriously - in many tamil and telegu films with a smattering of hindi films in between.

Trisha was spotted by a director during her part in a Horlicks advert, and subsequently offered a role in the film Jodi. This is where sh started her film career with a small role as Gayu's friend alongside lead actress Simran, in the film JODI - which was released in 1999.
After this Trisha starred as a fully fledged actress in the film titled Leysa Leysa, in 2002. In the same year she also acted in the film Mounam Pesiyadhe which went on to win her a film fare award for the best debut for the year 2002 in Tamil.

Trisha then acted opposite Vikram in the film Samey which happened to be a big blockbuster and was a commercially very successful. Then she was also offered the lead heroine role in the film Ghilli opposite actor Vijay . It released in the year 2004 . This film was a record commercial blockbuster and also a remake of telugu film Okkadu. She was praised for her immense acting and dancing talent.

Another film which was released in the same year 2004 was Ennaku 20 unnaku 18 . Trisha played the character of Preethi . The actress received a huge applause, especially from her critics for her acting and dancing. Later on as this film was a mega commercial success it was dubbed in telugu with the title Nee Manasu Naku Telusu, in which she acted opposite the actor Tarun . This film was also received well by the telugu viewers.

Trisha's Romantic Liasons:
In the year 2004 a video of Trisha circulated around in the media circle, showing scenes of her naked in the bathroom. At first she denied that the video was of her, but later admitted it may have well been hidden cameras in a hotel where she'd recently stayed.

Soon after this, rumours flew linking her to Tamil co-star Vijay, which Trisha was quick to deny.
She has also been romatically linked with Telegu co-star Prabhas, which again, Trisha has rubbished as idle gossip.

The one rumour to which Trisha has not responded is of certain NRI (Non Resident Indian) businessman who resides in Canada.

Trisha's Triva:
Trisha's hobbies include swimming, reading and surfing the net. She enjoys eating chicken and rice, is very superstitious and believes in aliens, myths and UFO's.
